New Acquisition.

 Hi!

Saturday just gone (29th March), I made my way to London for a day out. Usually, too often to be honest, I would go to the British Museum for some Biblical inspiration in the Mesopotamian section.

Saturday was different.

I took a walk along the Victoria Embankment from Bank to Parliament Square. The day was nice but breezy. After that I walked up the Charing Cross road and found myself veering to the Orks Nest. Quite by chance, honest!

I wasn't sure what I was looking for but I like to drop in and see what they had to hand.

And came away with:-

I'd had my eye on this after seeing several blogs and YouTube vids on it. But I'm not using it for Cold War Gone Hot games. I'm going to use it for WW2!

Inspiration comes at different times. I have the 6mm forces of sorts. Lots of Germans and a few British. Basically, a rifle company each  of German and British. The Germans have a lot of support, the British not so much. Now I'll have to get some more British support units, artillery and the like. I'll get these from Heroics and Ros at Salute 2025 next weekend.

Talking of which. I actually have a plan of what I need to see manufacturers and games wise! My very first plan going to a wargames show! To that end I actually bought Miniature Wargames for the insert with manufacturers and games with the plan of the event.

That will stop me getting tired wandering around. First the planned visits and then a little wandering. I plan to get there early to ease my day.

I'm looking forward to it.

County Road Z set up for mission 2

Hi!

The upcoming mission two

Gather Materials.

Food

The set up.

Edge of town. Three blocks of terraced houses. A corner terrace of three houses. One stand-alone house. The object of scavenge, Hodge's Shop.

The car and close-by zombies are for effect only and to dissuade the team from going that direction (the game area is a little big so that is why they are there).

I used the radiant method for zombie placement as that gave a better distribution of figures.

The materials are in Hodges, the stand-alone house and the corner terraced houses.

The terraced houses are cardstock. Pdf downloaded from Wargames Vault onto A4 postage label and stuck onto mounting card. The other buildings are mdf.

Aerial shot. Team is in top left behind shrubs

The teams view

A higher elevation. Hodge's is reddish coloured building in the rear

Your everyday shoppers looking for brains!

Hodge's on the right. Plenty of shoppers waiting!
